GridCite Cookie and Local Storage Notice
Effective date: 2026-08-01
GridCite uses necessary cookies and browser storage to operate account access and remember requested application settings.
Necessary cookies
gridcite_session— authenticates an approved account session after magic-link sign-in. Duration: 30 days, fixed at sign-in; using the Service does not extend it.gridcite_link_binding— binds a requested magic-link sign-in to the browser that requested it, helping prevent forwarded-link misuse. Duration: short-lived; it has no purpose after the sign-in link is used.
These cookies are used for security and core functionality. They are not used for advertising.
Local storage
The application stores selected filters, layout preferences, saved shortlist identifiers, recent searches, and related application preferences in browser local storage under the existing application key. This helps the Service remember settings on the same browser. You can clear this data using your browser controls; doing so may reset saved settings and local shortlist information.
Analytics and advertising
As of the effective date, the Service uses no third-party analytics, advertising, session-replay, or consent-management trackers; a source review confirmed none are present. This notice must be updated if production uses analytics, advertising pixels, session replay, consent-management tooling, or other non-essential trackers. Where required, obtain consent before setting non-essential cookies.
Choices
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in or other Service functions from working. Contact hello@gridcite.com with questions.
